I don't know...

What exactly does he do? Manage the funds? Appoint managers? Agree contracts?

I mean they aren't his funds. If TH never put a £ into this club, we may not be in this division, however I'm more than certain we'd be operating within our budget. Credit goes to Derek for making sure that TH has kept pumping money in, I guess.

b!

Or you could you that Derek has put us in the position were we HAVE to rely on Mr Hemmings.

How much dealings with transfers does Mr Hemmings actually take part in.

Now we all know that he paid for Wallace's loan and transfer, and that he was the one that got shut of Irvine, and brought Ferguson in.

However, until that point I would assume that our Chairman and Board of Directors sanctioned these shockingly long contracts, for players who in Fergusons words " are not good enough, and being paid to much".

Derek states that the club "have always backed their managers", and while he is correct, I find it astounding that some of Irvines signings were not questioned more, especially with what little money we have.

Craig Brown, very nice man, crap league manager, but signed some excellent players, fuller etc

Billy Davies, he is a horrible little twat, but he signed Nugent, and took us two a play off final, allbeit they bottled it again.

Paul Simpson, this man was a disaster, signed some shite like Carter, however he did sign St Ledger.

As for Irvine, well there is not a single player we can sell on, could of signed Charlie Adam, instead paid MORE, yes MORE money for Shumi, who had Irvine bothered to check he would of known why he keeps leaving clubs. Stephen Elliott, can you actually believe we gave Wolves Matt Hill and actually money too for him. The list goes on......

Derek Shaw was responsible for the employment of at least 2 of those managers, and the two in my view who have crippled our football club, lost us significant numbers on our attendances, given out shockingly over the top contracts, and left us in a position were we don't have any saleable assets.

The Chairman has to carry the can, and along with his mate Mcloughlin we will never get anywhere, unless there is change, and fast.

Whats happened to all the ITK people or are they not as ITK as we thought!

leave shaw before this great club goes under, you've messed up numerous times and if you really care leave us in the championship now!!!!!!!!!

shaw out!!!!!!!

The sensible thing would be for our main supporter's group to contact each of the major shareholders and ask for a statement of intent from each of them.

What do they intend to do with their shares over the next few years?
What actions are they putting in place to ensure that the club tackles its obvious debt problem?
What support will they be giving to the manager to ensure that he can do his job?
What efforts are being undertaken to make sure that season ticket sales don't fall as dramatically as is expected?
etc, etc

For far too long this club has sat on its hands and watched the world go by. As supporters of the club, and a main source of revenue, its time that we got our answers. I would implore the Supporter's group to step up as soon as possible, otherwise what exactly is the point of them??

the last thig shaw should do for our club is to stand in the middle of simpson and irvine, up against the wall to be shot for the predicament he has put us in over the last few years.

Has to go , Ive stuck by Shaw but this last fiasco is the end for me

If he cares a jot for the fans and the long term future of this club he should reseign forthwith

Mort

the st ledger deal was already nailed on prior to simpson appointment alledgedly.....he had nothing to do with it i seem to recall

Allegedly, Simpson wanted to wait a year before signing St Ledger to see how he progressed. It was only the interest from another club (Birmingham?) and one of our Scouts insistance that we signed him when we did.

I think that is one of the biggest bugbears for me. You never hear the other local chairmen talk down their own clubs and they do their utmost to inspire and motivate fans. I am sick and tired of hearing his 'little club' rhetoric and then wondering why attendances are down. It wouldn't take Hercule Poirot to work out why. Also, I wonder about some of his negotiating skills which lets on loan players play AGAINST us! Other clubs insist this doesnt happen, but we seem to allow it - a la St Ledger last season. Utter madness and incompetence!

The fans shall remember this fiasco Mr Shaw. The contempt you and your board have put this club through is shocking. Last season was the fiasco when Sean St Ledger tried to call you on his mobile. He wanted to know whether he was to stay on at the club, or if he would be better looking elsewhere. Did you reply to his call or even bother to ask the manager to answer his queries. Silence is golden, in the same instance you are now silent with the winding up order from HMCR. Well you and the Deputy chairman David Taylor and the rest of your cronies on the board better find another ship to fleece.

I`m abstaining.

The reason is that I don`t know what Hemmings wants. And whatever he wants, re a Chairman, is what I`d vote for.

(As an aside, after reading the thread, I don`t agree that DS is to blame for appointing Irvine. He came recommended by David Moyes, and none of us had any idea his siging policy would be so poor and wasteful. And to be fair, he did keep us up in his first season.
However, I do blame him for appointing Simmo..a period when the rot started to become terminal. It was an uninspired choice, and imo his biggest mistake.)

The club was in the black when Derek took over from Bryan Gray, and we are now over £20 million in debt.Is the club in safe hands with Derek at the helm? I think not. Laughing Spam Fritter

The sensible thing would be for our main supporter's group to contact each of the major shareholders and ask for a statement of intent from each of them.

We would only be able to do such a thing, after holding a open meeting, and deciding as a group what action we should take.

We have done this before, and If our members wanted us to do this again, then I'm sure we can arrange it.

In the meantime we have contacted the club's general manager with queries with regards the Winding Up petition and also the Season Ticket Price increase.

We are let to receive a reply, when normally one comes very quickly the club have 2 more days to acknowledge this query as part of their club charter.

I would stress that we would only be representing our members, and that we are a supporters group and not a pressure group.

However we have been advised previously that contacting Trevor Hemmings directly could have a detrimental effect on the club.🙁

I for one would think a meeting with the club, and supporters would be a good idea.

Would you have posted this question today if Blackpool had got beat yeterday?

Why not, The shit that has been going on lately is fooked up. The problem is that you will always have certain people saying that their messiah can do no wrong.

I ask you this question, Do you think it is right the way the club have dealt with things that are not right in the best possible way? Season ticket price increase, The cock up on the dates, The winding up petition?

Now according to DS he said that he was confident in the tax bill being paid soon. Now i don't call it soon nearly 2 weeks down the line, Not only that it was 20 days late at the time it was published. Now has that bill not doubled now? If they could not come up with the initial 400k within nearly 2 weeks don't you think its going to be harder to come up with 800k?

Now i have had enough of the dross coming out of the club lately. We need change and less of the negative shite that comes out of DS's mouth. It's having a bad effect on the supporters and IMHO it will show next season if he is still at the helm. 😡
