Not again!
For such a 'clever' guy, you don't half get confused a lot.
People speak in riddles - as the Voice of PNE Online I prefer to be honest and upfront, in fact people could learn a thing or two if they followed my lead.

Doesn`t matter. Some of us were following it.
No worries mate.
Enjoy the rest of your evening.
And you, bud. Glad you got your prescriptions for your dog so cheaply (on the other thread) and are feeling so proud of what you`ve accomplished this week. Sleep tight.
Cheers mate.
Appreciated.
Although I don't like to use the word proud, that's you're choice of word, not mine.
It`s also a shame that the forum was not more tolerant of a user, patron, and volunteer forum moderator that was clearly the only person really distressed.

perhaps the other mods, seniors or admins (many who were in here when this was going on) didn't step in and pull the whole bloody thread, no use pointing one finger when so many have simply ducked their collective responsibility.

Agree, actually.
This has not been PNE Online`s Finest Hour.

Also agree
Hopefully, it will lead to a frank discussion and fresh ideas. Not the fault of the mods, IMO, but the fault of the system.
Might be time to actually start listening to Bill - he does have some good ideas about the modding.
By the way, Jake - full credit to you for answering questions honestly and engaging in this debate. Parts of it have been very constructive.
Agreed, even more saddening is that some users are posturing after the event like some sort of victor. Almost beggars belief.

When issues are down to personal levels that is different modding in terms of trying to keep the peace. I honestly didn't think that would be the biggest part of the role, and generally it hasn't been, but occasionally it is and it's the hardest part and one we maybe aren't up to
Bet this wasn't what you signed up for when you volunteered 😀
It is always tough when things get personal, especially when trying to navigate the forum dynamics and pick through the he-said she-said. It's even more difficult when you have long-standing vendettas, cliques, and dominant personalities to deal with. Throw in a troll (every forum has at least one) intent on spreading mayhem and revelling its own cleverness, and the task becomes nigh on impossible.
Could do with a grizzled old warhorse or two in the team, maybe - ultimately, it is up to us, as users, to elect the right mix.
Can't argue with much of that at all
Electing isn't the problem, it's getting people willing to do it(making lists of who you want as a mod for example is kind of a pointless vanity exercise "who might not ban me")
