Confirmed Statement from 'Peter & Craig"

"Without dwelling on decisions that could and should have fallen in our favour and as a result added points that we were denied,....."

I hate to break it to you Peter and Craig, but you both need to wake up and stop smoking the wacky backy. Results are mostly determined by a well thought out and executed plan, not hit and hope tactics of a (now proven) charlatan manager.

The only points denied were caused by the person you've got so much faith in.... The one that leaves the clubs best assets on the bench, plays players out of position and continues to play the worst performing players in the squad despite it being obvious how poor they are.

So open your eyes gents - we shouldn't have won those points and we haven't been denied anything. Try appointing a credible and proven manager and you might actually see a return for the money you are so careful to spend wisely.

Winning losses.

Has a manager ever turned things around and become a success after getting the ‘vote of confidence’ from a board?

I’m struggling to think of one.

Already down to 11th

It’s been said many times there will be no change while we’re in the top half.

Maybe looking at the sheff Weds game as a win or bust.

This stinks of when Peter convinced Trevor Hemmings to persist with 'his man' Westley.
I think it’s as much to do with the fact we clearly can’t afford to pay Lowe and his cronies off, as Ridsdale trying to save face.

We have taken 13 points from the last 16 games. If we continue with this form we will end the season on 50/51 points, and may just escape relegation. That would be thanks to our first 7 games, when injuries meant that the team picked itself near enough.

The club management hope that we will get away with it, and that we will stay in the Championship so the owners benefit from increased revenues from the Prem etc.

We are owned by a Trust that is being run by someone who seems to begrudge every penny spent on the club. The fans don't matter to her. As much as Craig Hemmings is a fan of the club, he doesn't have financial control of it, doesn't have the will to modernise the strategic management of it, and seemingly can't sack the manager without Ms Revitt's approval.

Already made plans with my dad to meet him for a beer on boxing day and then go to the Leeds game. But after that, I'm done, I know expecting a change in Chairman will sadly never come until he decides he's going, but a change in manager is now a desperate situation and until he goes regrettably I wont be back. Club is going to shit.

Craig, Peter, Ryan I appreciate your efforts but between you you're killing club now.

I'm not sure who would/should be appointed once RL is potted.

There's a lot of yesterday's men out there who will be vying for the job.

I wonder if Michael Jackson who is currently the U23 Manager at The Dingles would be in the frame.

None of us WANT a PNE manager to fail, its pointless and counterproductive.
However when it becomes clear to everyone that the results are not acceptable and the players appear disinterested and the fan base is anti then nothing is going to be acceptable other than a change.
Lets face it, Leeds are gonna win, the crowds gonna be reduced, those there will not be happy and voice their frustrations at the management.
Get rid and move on.

I have thought long and hard about the situation Ryan Lowe and any other recent manager at North End is/was in.
Every single incumbent from Simon Grayson onwards has tried to win games in a similar manner. Be hard to beat, work hard, grab a goal, do everything that you can to protect that lead. There’s a reason for this. Football, especially the Championship has moved on since Billy Davies and then Alan Irvine. The gap between ourselves and the top six has widened. There are always half a dozen sides with far more pace than we have, both up front and at the back. These same teams also have greater technical ability in the middle of the pitch.
We have some decent players but we are rather like running a Formula 3 car in a Formula 1 race; you have to rev it to the max constantly throughout the race to even get near the cars at the front. That’s possibly why we seem to burn out late in the season, every year. We spend the season ‘thrashing the engine’ and just wear it out.
The principle issue at North End this year is a lack of pace, particularly at the back. This forces us to play conservatively when in possession and leaves our most creative players hamstrung because they are sat ten yards too deep and always have one eye on tracking back, even when in possession. When we do try to play expansive football, we sometimes leave ourselves exposed and end up on the receiving end of a 4 or 5 goal deficit. I’ve heard all the talk about our ‘good first half’ last week against Watford but let’s be honest, they missed two sitters after carving us open in the first half. I commented at half time that if he got the second half wrong (Lowe) then it could be 4 or 5-1.

Whoever eventually comes in to replace Lowe, whenever that is, will need to buy some pace in defence or will need to absolutely abandon this current formation.

As for Lowe, I’m very sad because I like his enthusiasm and his passion. That’s what the game is about. I don’t like all the bullshit about his ‘brand’ but then again, I don’t buy into the idea that he’s such an awful manager. His main issue is that he usually takes far too long to spot what needs to be done in order to effect change. At best his tactics have worked and at worst he hangs players out to dry! (Alan Browne at Burnley away last season)

I think he’s done for now but I certainly won’t be booing him on Thursday and I hope people go and support the team.

I'm personally not reading too much in to that statement. I think its mainly just timing now and they're just trying to take some heat off Lowe in readiness for the inevitable Boxing Day pumping off Leeds.

They probably are hoping for a miracle set of results but they'll know its not coming and I would assume they're working hard now behind the scenes to draw up a list of potential new managers.

Lowe has burnt his bridges with the fans with his comments, he needs to learn from that when he gets his next job, which he will get. There is no way he is our long term manager though now, I'd be surprised if he's still our manager by the time we go to Chelsea.
