Summer 2026 - Transfer Rumours and Discussions.

Im sure Alex Neil would love to jump ship at Millwall to come and manage our shocking squad. Christ.
You'd be surprised if The Family leave.

I know a family member of his and I was told he wouldn't return here under the current set up / owners (IoM). He will, I was told, be happy to manage again in this region at some stage given the location of his family but he is currently happy (as of last March) at Millwall.

This was about March time the chat I had.

I’d happily have him back tbh, I didn’t like hime during his last couple of months with us but now that I’ve thought about it, I don’t blame him for downing tools and giving up.

Selling your best players only to replace them with league 2 slop, I’m sure if Neil came in under Zedan and had money to spend he would be in his element.

It's 2 league games without a win. Last game of last season and first of this.

Why on earth would Neil leave Millwall to come here right now?

Bolton was also not a cozy start. Full house local game against a newly promoted team with a few new signings either not ready or through the door. It was never gonna be as easy as people were making out.
We can accept getting beat but there was no passion or effort remember it was the first game of the season and a derby they should have been fired up.

He'd still be very, very dour though.

How about, for once, we appoint someone with charisma and man management skills?

It's not fucking hard, recruit properly rather than appoint someone who one of your mates says is good.

Neil hates The Family. He's still Longridge based right, so that makes sense. I imagine Millwall will be aware of this?

Any more transfer rumours from those ITK, apart from McConnell to remove the bitter taste from the defeat today, would cheer me right up. 😂
Not ITK as such, but get passed great info by those who are.

McConnell done next week, expect Mills to be this window (as seen via his current antics), another winger on loan and then I’d expect a striker and centre back.

2 permanents (1 + Mills) 3 loans (2 + McConnell), is what I am expecting.

Agree Danny.....i'm sick of the British merry go round of losers..
I'd go foreign personally and i expect that as soon as new owners come in.

He would have come back when Hecky was appointed.

Agree
Never thought I'd say this but most British football managers are very stubborn and coach like it's 1975.
The next answer probably lies in Scandinavia.

That Oxford ITKer might look like a bit of a prick to both some of ours and Nixon then. Be very surprised to not see Mills this window but I slated Whiteman for his behaviour so I do struggle with Mills.

Although Oxford appear to be the main instigator of this problem though.
The think with Whiteman is that we aren't a club that stands in the way of a player who wants to move.
Oxford are literally preventing Mills from moving - yet - so it's a slightly different situation. But I don't like the idea of someone downing tools to get their move, so hopefully a bit more info will come out eventually.

Thanks for that buddy, that really helps, any of the loans a CB by any chance?.

Someone somewhere is telling fibs because he wanted the job when Lowe left.
