By East do you mean Burnley? Or further East… Yorkshire or really far East, Russia?Heard a mumbling that we have been looking east again for possible CB.
Hopefully Saturday has made them realise we simply can not afford to strengthen in that area.

‘End product’… crucial.Moran simply needs to work his way into the team. Can never fault his work ethic and he obviously has a bit of talent, but I think he needs to show more than he has done if he wants to play more.

Artemijus Tutyškinas must be one of the most random names we've had on here.
6 goals in 65 for his current team btw. Could do with some of that. No idea what the level of the Slovenian league is like... assuming not great.
Good to hear that we might be looking anyway.

Looking East is literally looking at half of Earth - probably including ¾ of the world's population. JK really "putting his balls on the line" with this one 😝By East do you mean Burnley? Or further East… Yorkshire or really far East, Russia?

You think I'm comparing Arsenal and City players to what we have? I'm not that stupid. For crying out loud. You were watching, probably the best two teams in England. Have a sleep and then think about what you posted.

This from a Blades blogger/podcaster:If we are looking at ex loan strikers Cannon started for Sheffield United yesterday but was hooked in the 2nd half.
Archer is on the bench for Southampton today.
Cannon 4/10 – Woeful again. He offers no-thing at all. Weak, slow and does not anticipate. He must be so easy to play against. Loses battles, the ball comes off him and he does not even offer runs. We need to move on from him. He is sadly, completely out of his depth and has been a dreadful signing. What Wilder sees in him, I do not know.

I'd like Archer too if possible but how on earth is Preston 'coming home' for him? Born in Walsall, aged 24 and spent 5 months at PNE?I’m hoping the one very close to the chest is a striker option, possibly a former striker by the name of Archer?, I know what people are gonna say, Move on, but I need him to come home. 😩

Don’t think we were ever actually linked with him but there was talk on here.
Much prefer McConnell out of the 2.

Sheff United are in a really difficult situation with him, and a stark indication of what can happen if you get a signing badly wrong. As it stands if they were to sell him now it could create a significant hole in their finances, as his sale value would be significantly less than the transfer value (I.e. he reportedly signed for £10M on a 4 year contract). The amortisation on that would mean in their accounts he would be valued at £7.5. They are unlikely to be able to sell him or anything close to that, and the difference between the amortisation value and the actual sale value would go into this years accounts as a loss. This could have significant repercussions for this years financial planning, as a result they may be either stuck with him or have to loan him out to minimise the financial impact on this years accounts. This from a Blades blogger/podcaster:

The case for resigning Cannon probably just on loan but with an option for a fee we could afford would be that he might start scoring again with us. There is nothing unusual about players being utter flops with one club and great successes with another. That was the difference between Richard Cresswell at Leicester and with us. A player's effectiveness is not solely down to them - it is can also be affected by the place, the team, the manager and the fans.
Right now, though, our need for a further striker is less than for a further addition to the deep midfield and a wide attacker though it does seem we have targets for those areas. It is arguably also less than for a central defender and even a left-back.

Depends how far east you go as eventually you could end up in Blackpool 🤣Looking East is literally looking at half of Earth - probably including ¾ of the world's population. JK really "putting his balls on the line" with this one 😝

I really rate Mowbray. His style of play is light years ahead of what we have been able to produce over the last few years. The energy, pace and movement makes us look like we’re playing in 6inches of mud.Agree totally . Hate to say this Mowbray at Rovers makes me want to go to sleep when I hear him , but he knows how to set a team up against the opposition, has them organised so every player know his role and what is expected. Our players just seem to go through the motions no matter what formation we play and at times look like complete strangers and haven’t a clue what formation we are actually playing .once we make any subs , if not before.
Someone posted about upsetting the salty chicken lovers on Friday. Nothing rumoured since?
Also as others have mentioned we seem hopeless at getting rid of the deadwood. Maybe we need to make them train with the kids etc , say they’ve no future etcIf we get the players that Mr B suggests I think we’ll see Pol and Lindsay move on….league one for Pol and maybe Scotland for Lindsay.
I reckon Storey, Hughes and Thompson will kept as squad players.

Me too. I wanted us to go for him when he was available during one of the spells that Lowe should have been sacked.
With hindsight, it's a good job we didn't as he had the time out with illness shortly after. But I think he's a top manager in this division. He might be what saves Rovers this season.
