The main reason he quit us in the first place was because there was not much money to spend. If he quit us then I don't even think he would consider returning now.

Yet on your Twitter you have wrote to Peter Sanderson and I quote 'thats funny. my mate that works at pne says that billy is definetely coming'. Unless there is another Matthew Simpson who also uses the username 05simpsonm?
 
He isn't going to come here. The wages would be crap. There's no money for players. Even if by a odd chance he did come here then the liklihood is he'd not be as successful as last time and that would leave his image tarnished.

Yes we had soem good times but remember the Leeds play off and the 27 striker formation? He lost the plot.

Exactly. He's a liar. On Twitter he has said that his mate said that Billy is getting the job. Billy Davies wouldn't even need to apply, we will have asked him if he was interested whether he applies or not. If he expresses an interest we would then have some talks.
 
Just can't see Billy returning, despite being excited about the post from the big E.

It's all gone a bit too quiet.
 
As I said earlier on Davies won't be coming here. I know the Big E and others are supposedly well connected but people are jumping from Hemmings talking to Davies to him accepting the job like it's that simple.

I have no doubt that people know that they have spoken but talking about it and doing it are 2 very different things. He won't come simply because the finances won't be there to get him to begin with, then get all his backroom staff and then finally give him a large wage & transfer budget. It's not happening people, get used to it.

Thank goodness he aint coming and not cos he turned the offer down. There is/was no offer. He's a non starter. Half of this forum have very short memories but TH certainly doesn't.

Knowing what Billy Davies is like, no. I don't think it would be that straight forward.

I read from the big E that he was in talks, and heard nothing since. I would make a guess you have better conctacts than myself, I was just curious if you'd heard something, or if it was just in your opinion. As I said, I wasn't doubting you, just assumed it was from a reliable source as such.
