Yeah, my only time there was in 2000.I was about for the 1980 League cup ties, but only went to the home replay. My only memory of the Hawthorns, is of a game just after promotion, 2000, where that twat, Lee Hughes, scored a hat trick. 🙁🙁
First time I’ve watched it back

It was Valerien Ismael. That’s the one, belting midweek game that. A Steve Bruce side was typically honking, imagine my shock.

I was using The Trainline. I think the cheapest currently from Preston to The Hawthorns station is £87 for myself and two kids, which is pretty reasonable. That's with an early start though. When I checked a few days ago, it was £78 for a mid-morning start and straight back after. Were did you find these John? When I looked for trains from Preston to Brum were ridiculously priced!

Ticket bought and parking sorted 300m from the ground on someone’s driveway. Your Parking Space app come up trumps again.
Yeah, I have used that, parked up at Wickes, costing me as much as overnight in Brum booked through there though. I use that app quite a lot and never had any issues.Ticket bought and parking sorted 300m from the ground on someone’s driveway. Your Parking Space app come up trumps again.

£13 for off road parking close to the ground, I’m happy with that. Might turn out to be a bugger getting away after the game but hopefully I’ll be tuning in to the local radio station discussing the fact that they shouldn’t be getting beat by #teamslikePrestonYeah, I have used that, parked up at Wickes, costing me as much as overnight in Brum booked through there though. Yes Janie, remember the trip to Hawthorns in Oct/ Nov 80, Went in a van , 6-7 of us midweek.Think we lost 1-2, third game after also going there for a 0-0 two weeks earlier!I was about for the 1980 League cup ties, but only went to the home replay. There's an Indian brewery next to Snow hill station where I'll be going before the match. Looks good. Also get the train from Snowhill railway station seven minutes to The Hawthorns railway station
I have a good feeling about this.

Sounds a good option mate....will try and give it a go....i'm more optimistic now than previous seasons recently.... no doubt we will play well but be let down by dodgy officials and the usual after match 'apology'.... looking forward to it but again i can't understand how it's not sold out.....the players and management deserve all the backing they can get so get those tickets bought COYWs!!!There's an Indian brewery next to Snow hill station where I'll be going before the match. Went to both away games in the back of vans but missed the home replay as working a 2-10 shift......grrrr we came so close but very late they hit the bar and Cyril Regis headed in if memory serves me right.Yes Janie, remember the trip to Hawthorns in Oct/ Nov 80, Went in a van , 6-7 of us midweek.Think we lost 1-2, third game after also going there for a 0-0 two weeks earlier!
