Confirmed Will Keane Signs - 2 Year deal.

8 years ago. Is it just Preston fans who are thick? Or just our town, county, in general?
Not sure why my observation is deemed thick , I welcomed Wil back to the club and simply stated a goal stat from his last time at the club and to be honest he’s not been a goal machine in the 8 years that have passed - but obviously hope he scores loads on his return

I think if he hadn't played for us a long time ago then most people would be happy to pick up a guy who scored 12 last season for less than £200k.

Players can improve, he's much more physical these days which was his main drawback 8 years ago.

I saw a post from a Wigan fan which referenced how few goals Will Keane scored under Shaun Maloney so I thought I'd have a look at his goal scoring rate under each manager last season.

7 in 20 under Leam Richardson
3 in 9 under Kolo Touré
2 in 16 under Shaun Maloney

No idea how he'll do under Lowe but hopefully it's more like his rate under Leam Richardson/Kolo Touré than under Shaun Maloney.

I don't think they scored many goals in general under Maloney but they were tighter at the back.

Just looked, 10 goals in their last 16.

Clean slate for me even though it's pretty underwhelming signing.

For the fee quoted probably just about worth it.

Really good finish but I thought his hold up play was sharp aswell.

On first impressions he can certainly do the job Ched was doing for a few months last season and chip in with more goals.

Just get a CF and have him dropping into midfield and with Mads looking decent at times that's a reasonable attack at this level at least to build upon.

Looked good leading the line today and good finish. Would be a good strikeforce with someone with pace alongside him
Keane, Stewart, Ched and Cannon would be a decent strike force especially with Riis to come back in October time……..
