Play him in the right system along side a good striker and he's an asset.
Unfortunately for him he was in and out of Ferguson's horrific 4-5-1 and when he did get a partner it was usually alongside Parkin who isn't exactly a willing runner. Obviously Phil Brown is going to favour the players he brought in but I think it'd be a shame to get rid of a proven player out of form in favour of the proven shockers we have in on loan.
That's surprising if there's any truth in it considering the current circumstances unless there are moves underway to bring another loan player in at Deepdale.
He was a proven partner for a very, very good striker. Not really a class player in his own right. As I've said, if we are getting people off the wage bill, one who signed on a free (probably on a decent wedge) and has barely had a decent game all season is someone I really won't miss. Especially given he did sod all at Barnsley as well.
Let's not keep players like we have Carter and Mellor in the past in the vain hope they'll suddenly change into superstars. Good players like Hume come into sides and show spark and promise straight away. When Hayes is bad (and he normally is) he may as well not be there.
If there is an offer to offload him we'd be mental to not consider it.
If he did go out on loan can't see him being replaced. Whats the point in letting a permy player leave to bring in yet another loanee when we can't play all we've got anyway?!

It's the Derby Evening Telegraph website, which is as good as the official site for news.
So, you guys don't think this lad is too hot? 🙁
Gary Hoopers partner at Scunny was he not? seems it hasn't worked out at PNE for him.
Anyway, good luck for the season, always had a soft spot for PNE, nice club. 🙂
