Hayes To Derby???

Hayes To Derby???

That's surprising if there's any truth in it considering the current circumstances unless there are moves underway to bring another loan player in at Deepdale.

not that i have seen anything of hayes that i would worry about losing, it appears that anything we can get money for goes however paltry the sum might be.Trevor and Mo accepted relegation weeks ago brown has been financially hamstrung from the start the sad thing is they are not even making a good job of the fire sale!

Unfortunately it just hasn't worked out for him here, as much as I'd have liked him to.

It wouldn't surprise me if he goes out on loan and will depart in the summer.

Get rid. The lad is shit. Give Proctor a chance. If we are cutting costs, offloading the likes of Hayes is where we should be doing it.

Play him in the right system along side a good striker and he's an asset.

Unfortunately for him he was in and out of Ferguson's horrific 4-5-1 and when he did get a partner it was usually alongside Parkin who isn't exactly a willing runner. Obviously Phil Brown is going to favour the players he brought in but I think it'd be a shame to get rid of a proven player out of form in favour of the proven shockers we have in on loan.

He was a proven partner for a very, very good striker. Not really a class player in his own right. As I've said, if we are getting people off the wage bill, one who signed on a free (probably on a decent wedge) and has barely had a decent game all season is someone I really won't miss. Especially given he did sod all at Barnsley as well.

Let's not keep players like we have Carter and Mellor in the past in the vain hope they'll suddenly change into superstars. Good players like Hume come into sides and show spark and promise straight away. When Hayes is bad (and he normally is) he may as well not be there.

If there is an offer to offload him we'd be mental to not consider it.

Theres no point in bringing a loanee in now unless its with a view to a perm deal. We are down and no loanee is going to make any difference now;-)

If he did go out on loan can't see him being replaced. Whats the point in letting a permy player leave to bring in yet another loanee when we can't play all we've got anyway?!

Fair point about Mellor and Carter, we're not exactly in a position to have squad players running out for the reserves on £6k+ a week.

Another permy off the wage bill.

That's not Derbys site?

It's the Derby Evening Telegraph website, which is as good as the official site for news.

So, you guys don't think this lad is too hot? 🙁

Gary Hoopers partner at Scunny was he not? seems it hasn't worked out at PNE for him.

Anyway, good luck for the season, always had a soft spot for PNE, nice club. 🙂

couldn't agree more.

with any new player we all probably give them a chance and hope they'll be as good as you imagine they will be. have to say he's disappointed me. shown some good touches occassionally but for me he's a decent league one striker - no more.

signing players like hume and johnson and moving players like hayes on is the best way forward for pne.

Apart from his 2 spells at Scunthorpe, his 2 spells at Barnsley, loan at Huddersfield and his time here have been poor.
