That's not what was mentioned at the time as you provided an alternative option due to Gibson's injury. If you'd have said that you was speculating based on it we'd get "another injury" then it would've avoided this 😄

What I completely forgot was Thor has experience playing centre back so may find himself getting minutes there

That said - I'm optimistic we can manage. Our improved strength in midfield should ease the burden on our defence

Still, not like anyone could’ve seen going with 3 wingbacks for the season could’ve backfired like this eh?

Not sure why he’s complaining about internationals. If players are tight on minutes and the squad is struggling, stop them going. Make up minor injuries like every other club does

First team squad can beat anyone at home and I’d fancy us to go away most places and give them a game.

But a few injuries and it starts to look bleak. The defence is now so thin, that we’re looking at the dreaded Storey-Lindsay-Hughes line up and Offiah still shunted out of position to RWB.

Hopefully we can simply score more than the opposition but with Milly still not being fully ready and having to manage Small, Dobbin and Devine’s game time over three quick fire games, I’m not overly confident.

At least it is an international break after these next three games to give the guys another rest. Although Small might be called up again, but his International minutes have been very limited.

Begging for it to come this time around.

We can't stop them going. Especially not for competitive International matches.

I don’t buy that all these players pick up innocuous knocks over international breaks that have vanished by the first league game back

He’s told us about 3 new injuries, one is a broken arm, one isn’t an international, so one out of three.
I would rather have an internal review of muscle injuries because it appears we get more than our fair share.

Yeah but that doesn't tend to be from teams in the Championship, usually big clubs with big power probably chucking their weight about.

Other than Valentin that is all way off what I’m told. McCann will be a while after the break and none of the others will be available before Christmas.
 
LEP says Vuc is out for 2 months with Gibson and McCann after the international break, at best. Pol is back in training but Saturday will be too soon for him.
 
Well that’s a stinker. Lack of depth is going to bite us on the arse yet again. Everyone could see we were a wing back short. Brady and Potts can’t be considered genuine options any more.

13 games between now and Bristol City on the 4th January. Just got to hope we can grind it out, get a few back and bring in some help in January.
 
Brady and Potts has been the biggest issue, if both were fit they would have been getting 15-20 minutes most games giving the other WB’s rest.
Personally feel we should be looking at a back 4 for a few weeks.
