Ted Lasso? He'd still be very, very dour though.
How about, for once, we appoint someone with charisma and man management skills?
It's not fucking hard, recruit properly rather than appoint someone who one of your mates says is good.

Still think we will do just fine this season. All the signings so far seem decent enough. McConnell to come in, couple of wingers another striker and should be a centre half and we will be perfectly fine. Onto wolves, who I weirdly think we will beat
I don't see what AN would gain by leaving Millwall to join us this season.
He's got a good gig where he is, along with a better squad and probably greater job security.

The head loss from one loss is pathetic. A game where we could have (against the run of play) nicked it if Ozzie had confidence and Lindsay wasnt Lindsay and posters saying to write off the season FFS.
The defence needs an overhall. Resigning Lindsay was idiotic. Pol, Hughes and Storey are cover at best but there's potential with the team with a few smart additions.
The lack of rumours about defensive signings is a concern mind.

It's a squad that's still being put together, and the first game in a new formation.
People want change, but then aren't willing to give it the time needed.

That’s not an issue. Nobody’s recruitment is anywhere near done. Would you rather we just bought who was available early (like Walton, Thompson and Smith last year) rather than the likes of Leo and Clarke?Biggest issues for me are leaving the recruitment till day before season starts and therfore wasting all preseason not preparing...we are weeks behind everybody else
ITKBurgzorg did look a bit lacklustre today I felt.
I'm pragmatic by nature and will give him time before I form an opinion on him as a Preston player, but I wasn't impressed when we were linked with him, from what I've seen previously he's a speedboat without a driver. Would love for him to prove me wrong.Burgzorg did look a bit lacklustre today I felt.
For the U21s I assume you mean?Could get🤦♂️ for this but I'd go in for Danny Ormerod
Sad reality this. The game is dying at grass roots level.True, there’s nowhere near as many Sunday league teams as there used to be to give Lindsey , Hughes and Storey to.

Was mightily relieved when the 2mill purchased was downgraded to a loanI'm pragmatic by nature and will give him time before I form an opinion on him as a Preston player, but I wasn't impressed when we were linked with him, from what I've seen previously he's a speedboat without a driver. Hope he does well obviously, but don’t think we’ll end up taking up an option on him personally

The pace Burgzorg showed yesterday was more tug boat than speedboat. 😕I'm pragmatic by nature and will give him time before I form an opinion on him as a Preston player, but I wasn't impressed when we were linked with him, from what I've seen previously he's a speedboat without a driver. It’s the lack of change that’s more frustrating.
Ten of the starting line-up yesterday were here last season, so they’ve had all summer to work on a new system/ formation/ approach.
And we’re not inventing something new here; it’s four at the back - how hard can it be for professional footballers and highly experienced coaches?
Yet we had the same old problems; starting players who weren’t good enough last season, pisspoor set pieces, throw-ins that would shame a Sunday league side, lack of urgency, Neantherdal hoofball patterns of play, changes made too late, and to top it off, a post-match interview where he gave the impression of watching a totally different game.
It’s all stuff we’ve seen before.
The only change was ONE new player (who was absolutely awful) in the line-up and our brilliant new-found ability to be offside more than any other team in the country yesterday.
I’m all for giving change time - just as soon as we start seeing some. 😏
Perhaps if he'd have tried the new formation during pre-season it wouldn't take so long to adjust to it now...It's a squad that's still being put together, and the first game in a new formation.

All about getting minutes in legs. 🤦Perhaps if he'd have tried the new formation during pre-season it wouldn't take so long to adjust to it now...
Campbell is in advanced talks with Charlton over a new contract, and his value could rise significantly if he continues developing. It would have been brilliant if we’d managed to get him. Another one that could come back to haunt us!

One of the few occasions where the club can’t be blamed.Campbell is in advanced talks with Charlton over a new contract, and his value could rise significantly if he continues developing. It would have been brilliant if we’d managed to get him. Another one that could come back to haunt us!
Not much they could do if mama Campbell has the final say and didn’t want to uproot.
Sounds like we've been played by him to get a bumper new contract. One of the few occasions where the club can’t be blamed.
