Insulting everyone’s intelligence by implying that Michael Smith was a good alternative for McBurnie or Moore should be a sackable offence in itself. We were desperate for players in January.
We’ve brought in a consistently injured player and 2 that have barely seen the light of day.
Even if Moran isn’t up to match fitness, it’s a terrible signing as we needed players to impact the first team immediately.
For what we’re doing with Lukovic then we might as well have signed me.
I could play 45 mins without touching the ball and then just train everyday without getting in the squad.
It’s just so shambolic from the club whoever has sanctioned all of this.
No matter how things stand now, Hecky had us in a fantastic position at the start of the window.
The club failed to back him.
Hemmings has to go and the fans need to tell him we don’t want him at the club anymore.

That’s what Ridsdale does.Insulting everyone’s intelligence by implying that Michael Smith was a good alternative for McBurnie or Moore should be a sackable offence in itself.
Hecky is by no means blameless but he gets the brunt of the grief due to this piss poor ownership.

To be fair, we don't know how bad Lang's injury is but it's nothing to do with his previous hamstring issues and Lukovic has chicken pox (much worse for adults than children to get it). I don't have a clue why Moran isn't featuring except Hecky may think that Devine and Dobbin are better. He was backed in January as Lang and Moran cost millions between them but the lack of plans B or C to score is blindingly obvious. What is Jason Euell's contribution anyway? We were desperate for players in January.

We needed players adding to the squad not replacing.
We let Keane and Steffi go and Armstrong was recalled.
We brought Lang, Moran and Lukovic in, 2 of which can’t get in a team in horrific form.
Don’t be fooled by the cost millions line either.
Very low fees in this day and age We’ll be paying it off over the contracts duration.
Bringing Jason Euell into it as well.
It’s not his fault the strikers barely get any chances to put way is it🙄
He narrative Moran isn’t match fit, well he is only going to get match fit by getting minutes on the pitch. Not sure why he isn’t even getting some minutes for the reserves to help. If he is looking worse then the current crop of players in the first 11 then it could be a wasted transfer.

No way we’d do waste money like that pal.. If he is looking worse then the current crop of players in the first 11 then it could be a wasted transfer.

Moran seemingly has one position, as a 10, and is nowhere close to the first option above our more talented loanees.

Is this true?
Must be because they were both registered to the number 23 shirt this season
Either that or Moran is also shit

I'm sure I've heard Heckingbottom say we wanted him for the summer but had the chance to buy him now as Mads was leavingI suppose he is seen as a permanent replacement for Dobbin or Devine after their loans expire
Might well be a longterm improvement but when you sign an unfit player to replace someone who wasn't getting minutes, it's sort of obvious that they won't get fit
Same thing we did with Onomah. Total waste of time on all sides
Difference being that Moran will be here next season and our player. I think that's when we will be able to judge this signing, not in the next couple of months.I'm sure I've heard Heckingbottom say we wanted him for the summer but had the chance to buy him now as Mads was leaving

Probably to early to tell and I'll be probably be wrong but I get the feeling this signing is going to get the whiff of tom bayliss about it sooner rather than later.

Losing Armstrong was bad enough but then not giving his replacement a chance is even worse.
Not sure about that. What A Wonderful World was an absolute banger.
No doubt we will be able to judge Moran and signing him next season, unfortunately we needed him to be available and play and influence games this season with the players we released.Difference being that Moran will be here next season and our player. Coupled with Milos Lukovic and the sparodic use of Thompson since his return from injury.
We look like we are carrying these three signings who have had no influence on games this season when we really required them to do so after.the players we released in January.🥴

When you're 4th in the league just after Xmas, you need signings to bolster and hold that position to play immediately.
This lad may be quality eventually, but the signing we needed was one who could start during January.

I mean, he came close to scoring on his debut sub appearance so why the hell not just putting him on to replace the complete shite we have?
‘Came close to scoring’ is a bit generous - he missed a chance I’d back @Ando to score. 🙃
But I agree that he should be getting minutes.
PH isn’t doing him or his confidence any favours, because if he was fit enough to play a few minutes vs Pompey, he should be alright to come on for longer now.
At this point, it looks a very strange signing at a time when we needed someone who was ready to go.
