That's the key for me, and I think why Hecky's gone for him. We need that mobility and gambling on space to help everything else click.
Yeah with Armstrong gone, we were lacking that second midfield option who could offer some quality in and around the box.

May provide a bit more of a goal threat compared to Armstrong too which is one of the only things missing really from his game. Obviously a big difference in the overall quality of the two players though.

I think the lack of goals from Armstrong was more down to the role he was asked to play than his inability to get in the box or finish chances.

He was playing high up plenty as he had a box to box role, but he was playing more as the edge of the box link player when we were in the final third, but he'd push up and be an extra man in the box at times.

Being a box to box player is probably what will suit him, which is what he was playing for us. It'd be good if he can add goals to him game to really push on in that kind of role.

Am I not correct?
i think your wording can be very much open to interpretation. Now the you’ve made it clear you were on about his size fair enough.

10 mins for his debut, he got around, looked nippy and tidy. The one on one chance -nerves probably got the better of him. I think he’ll do alright.

I didn’t see enough in 10 mins to make judgement other than he could have made himself a hero and should have scored and he is very small. Both factually correct.

Thought he should have done better with his chance at the end, but a few positive runs. Can't be judging him off a little 10 minute spell at the end of a game we are defending a lead in. He is quite slight but sure he will have plenty of other qualities.

What do you mean hero. It’s Portsmouth at home not the play off final. It was 1-0 and We won, scrappy as it was. If it was 1-1 then yeah we might be singing his praises.

Scoring on his home debut in front of the Town End kind of hero status. Literally that’s all I meant 🤣

Literally picked the worst decision possible for that finish, although wasn’t helped by dopey Thierry towing him along from an offside position thereby taking away the option to go to the left
