Confirmed Daniel Jebbison Signed on Loan

The Sheff Utd goal was probably a turning point for me as they gave him all that abuse and I would expect a young loan signing would hide and disappear in the game, but instead he fought and scored a great winner (thanks to a great cross also).

He needs to add more goals and I am not sure who he is best partnered with (or up top alone) still.

Same with his goal at Watford. Needs to pretend he's playing against a former club every week.

I can’t get excited about the idea of signing Jebbison under any circumstances. We’ve seen a year of him and he’s just not very…., er, ….good.
Unless we get a windfall from a player sale even with the takeover I think Jebbison is the standard of striker we can realistically sign. Better ones will have better offers and command fees north of £5 million. Even frees like McBurnie are out of reach unless we increase the wage budget to about £30k a week

Sign someone apart from him then. Why return to proven failure just because you think it’s the best you can do?

There will be an unpolished diamond out there somewhere. Appreciate thats what we tried to do with him but it didn’t work so let’s look elsewhere.

Get him in on loan for pre -season, get him fully fit and strong, give him a specific role and make sure an option has been included. Its a gamble but it's not a gamble where we're completely in the dark.
Sorry, but no.

I've seen enough to know it's not even a gamble.

No matter what happens with the takeover, he’s simply not someone we need. He's an average at best player who has very good games and very poor games from time to time. If we’re spending a large chunk of our budget (wages and fees) on a player, that player needs to one to en relied on consistently.

I think Jebbison would be a great signing. He’s got all the physical attributes to be a top striker, he’s only 22 years old and has played 75 games at Championship level. I think getting settled permanently at a club and getting regular 90’s would be hugely beneficial for him.

He put in performances last season that Milly has never come close to. I don’t see the point of another loan unless we can have an option like we’ve done with Devine but on a permanent I’d be very chuffed (price dependent).

I kept changing my mind last season with his wild fluctuations in performances. There’s a player in there for someone to develop but I honestly don’t have faith that we have the staff to do that. I don’t think they did it last season so I can’t see it next season.

He definitely suits our current style of play more than Osmajic but ideally we need to replace them both.

His best output has been under hecky here compared to all his other loans and permanent clubs.
