Browne was brilliant. Johnson was brilliant. Ben Whiteman was the British Busquets. How we never won the Championship is beyond me. Just another indication of the mind numbing mediocrity we've come to accept. Johnson was hopelessly inconsistent, and only had sustained spells of form when he was coming to the end of his contracts and wanted a move.

Its interesting seeing players like Browne and Pearson mentioned. Like so many PNE was the perfect fit for them so few really kick on after leaving here, these 2 are prime examples.
Sometimes moving away, other than bank balances, isnt always a good thing.

They both got promoted to the Prem.
How is that worse than staying with us?
I suppose whatever those type of players earn it should be more than enough to set themselves up for life, so they might as well try to reach the highest possible level they can and give it a go. It’s not really a risk as they generally get contracts at clubs at least at our level.
Pearson did play half a season in the top division.
It’s what’s wrong with the system, those players earned it and should be allowed to experience it. Yet again big money rules.
I thought whilst out on a walk this morning. One thing I think will happen is the players will be expected more than ever by the crowd to give 110%, as the desire for Alexander to succeed here is clearly huge among the fanbase. Hopefully they thrive off it.

I wonder if alexander regrets going back to deepdale as muvh as i did today... utter shite
Unless this takeover happens soon and we have scope to invest heavily in the squad in Jan I’m afraid we are down. I’m fully expecting us to get relegated and I am very nearly out of patience for this takeover to materialise. Now that’s the negative out the way onto the positive. Graham Alexander has my full support and even in defeat he’s a breath of fresh air compared to the last few managers. I full believe that if we go down he is the man to rebuild and bring us back stronger. I would hate for the fans to turn on him when he’s been left with this jumbled together unbalanced mess of a team. He needs the time and support from us all. May take awhile but onwards and upwards.
Yeah as above post says unless there’s a takeover and we have heavy investment in January we are going to be relegated. It’s depressing didn’t see much of a bounce today and as I thought we played like a mid table league 1 side.Hopefully Alexander can get improvements from the squad and the 3 missing today(Kenny/Mills/Gibson) would prob have played today and gives us more threat but it’s looking bleak !

We have 4 loan players who should all be sent back in January if possible.I think by Christmas we will be well and truly fucked which is the result of nothing positive happening after AN left. You get what you deserve in football and we will be relegated.Thank you Messrs Riddler and the Hemmings family.Takeover not any more.

They can’t be sent back without their parent clubs permission and we’ve signed three loanees who their parent clubs don’t want. So we’re stuck with them
Looked good. Unfortunately we don’t have the players to compete at this level. Wolves showed that. It is what it is I suppose. If this fella keeps us up it won’t be pretty but it will be a Herculean effort. We’ll see I suppose.
