You've got my number pal if you need anything, a lift, a favour, a chat, literally not arsed what it is, give me a shout if you need to. Stay strong, can't think of better motivation to battle than the birth of a child.
Keep your pecker up.

Thank you all for the messages. The support really means the world and is one of the reasons I keep coming back to update this thread.
I've decided if the baby is born whilst I'm receiving treatment next week that there will not be a better welcome home gift than that.
Keeping positive currently, I will come back and request help if that deteriorates. And there's a high chance of that, considering the doctor has banned me from smoking from today (and I aim to follow her advice).

Not sure if you can have them but Champix stopped me from smoking. Almost miracle like, did get very strange dreams though.
I’d tried nicotine replacement products but they didn’t work (no willpower)

I used to smoke like a factory chimney, I had a lung cancer scare that turned out to be nothing more than a wart on my lung. It scared me enough to stop smoking though and I haven’t had a fag for 15 years now. It was nowhere near as difficult as I thought it would be after smoking for 38 years! During the scare I kept wishing I could turn the clock back and I wouldn’t have started smoking, once I knew I was ok I started to try to make my decisions on the principle that the clock is wound back now, so try to make good choices.Thank you all for the messages. Best wishes to you. To be the best dad for your kid, your priority is to get yourself well.I don't really know where to start this, I'm still in a state of shock.
My first child is due in 7 weeks. And, unfortunately, I've just had a phonecall in the last hour to tell me that I've got testicular cancer.
I've already spent the last 2 weeks living with anxiety, but that has now reached a new level having been told the news. I'm well aware that the likelihood is that I'm going to require chemotherapy and that will stop me from being able to see my child.
My heads all over the place. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
Lots of love to you and your family.
All the best STF. Get the shit medicine out of the way and get yourself well for that young one.
If you’re ever feeling down remember you’re one step closer to putting this behind you and you have the joy waiting for you in the form of your child.
Keep Smiling
Nobs.

Seeing your Mrs popping your first sprog is the the most amazing sight you will ever see. And then the rest.
