Ched as coach is the new talking point though (or a repeated one from last year). Is this because Heckingbottom wants him as a coach, because in January I inferred he didn't think Ched was focused enough on coaching, or has it been dictated that Ched gets a coaching spot? We do have form in suggesting managers work with certain coaches.

Hopefully we know he's dead set on continuing his Magic Grandad playing career, so we know any coach-only role will be rejected, so we can safely make a token offer on that basis.

With the now widely known issues with his shit attitude I'd take that with a pinch of salt probably. Though nothing would surprise me.

That retained list is horrific. You can't make a remotely decent XI out of that without even thinking about the bench.

We need 10, and they need to be a proper 10 not 6 plus 4 Layton Stewart style punts.
