RIP Shaky

RIP Shaky

Katy - can you run all these tributes off and let his family have them at a later date. It will show them how respected he was and how much he will be missed by the PNE family.

Only knew of him on the forum, but he seemed a top quality bloke and poster on here!! Always looked for his posts when i logged on cos of the entertainment value!!

R.I.P mate

Yeah I want people's best memories too. Bit too raw at the mo though

Opinionated and razor sharp with his comebacks. Always looked out for his posts. Difficult to believe really. You read the posts and think you know the poster but in reality we know very little. Condolences to his family and all those close to him.

(suppose this means andy lonergan could return at some point)

I would like to add something WIBG once said to me when we were discussing him and I think it is very fitting.

If PNE Online was a football pitch, Shaky would be in your face, putting in the challenges, making things difficult but would be the first to shake your hand at full time and buy you a pint in the bar afterwards.

I am sure everyone on PNE Online and back to the PNE Fans days will be able to relate to that analogy.

How many threads in the history of Pneonline have run to 17 pages in about 30 mins? On a sunday evening aswell. Shaky your going to be missed you daft fucker.

This thread will surely top 100 pages. What a fantastic and fitting tribute to a messageboard legend. I demand this particular forum be renamed: The thoughts of Chairman Shaky !!

I never met Shaky but we did exchange PMs and he had invited me to contact him when I was next visiting my parents in north Lancashire and he would take me Hound trailing, I was looking forward to that.

This is very sad news, it is like losing a brother. My thoughts go out to his family, this MB will never be the same without him. Rest in peace mate.

R.I.P shaky

never new you or really spoke to you but seen alot of your post about the forum, you will be missed

This thread should be made a sticky. No doubt will be a busy day tomorrow for us, so it's important that this thread still remains on top.

Thoughts & Deepest condolences go to your family and friends at this shocking time.

Always a familar face on away trips over the years you will be missed.

RIP Shaky!

we will have a match for him in two weeks time we play Leyton orient fans team and that for.him but we are willing to go one step further and play the former pne players team ill sort it if you will support it.
But Steve you will have to rename yourself 'The Dog and Duck' for that game in honour! 😀

He occasionally made my blood boil - other times he made my blood boil !

But like most of us on here, we shared a lot of good humour. I hope we both enjoyed the sparring - I think so.

I'll definitely miss him on here... and if I'd had to pick 5 people off here to meet for a pint, he'd probably of been top of my list.

RIP Shaky.
