So Who Now ?

So Who Now ?

The less that TH invests, the more he is losing. Finally, TH I hope, is waking up to this fact. KBD has had 5 full seasons in The Championship with 3 different clubs, finished Top 6 every single time. Therefore, he is THE standout and only candidate for the PNE job as far as I'm concerned.

I'm with JD, and I think it would be a great scalp if we managed to get him.

What he said! I'd like to think Hemmings wouldn't have bothered paying Brown and Horton off if he wasn't going to do something drastic.

I can't see Davies coming back we have no money to entice him and as someone else mentioned the days of big name managers for teams with sub 10k attendance are long gone.

I'd like to see Unsworth given the job till the end of the season its the most practical in terms of cost and he knows the squad, he is just behind Davies (which is just a bookies knee jerk shot I hope) in the betting odds.

For me,Micky Melon at Fleetwood, just look what he;s doing there, but would he leave there?
Did Brown make any suggestions as to who is replacement should be when you had your meeting with him?

Oh sorry, that wasnt you, was it?

We aren't in a position to give the job to a maybe until the end of the season including Alexander, get Davies now before it's too late.

Billy Davies and Dave Jones in the race, with BD being the preferred option and looking the likeliest.

I don't lie.

Spot on with this i think , while Grezzer is a good lad i think were up shit creek and need a good tried and tested manager with a plan , as for would funds be made available , well lets be honest Hemmings has that in his hands so who can tell .

Bring back Billy .................

BD would be good for results but not necessarily for quality of football. Steve Bruce has abandoned two clubs in the past and would show no loyalty if a better job came along. Unsworth and Grezza are the cheap option and should be allowed a few games to see how they do. Dave Jones is still being paid by Cardiff and would lose that income if he came. Please God stay on our side and don't let Ince come here.

Having said all that I would like to see BD back as I think he would get promotion this season with whatever team he had at his disposal.

I will not be surprised if we have a new manager in the stands by Saturday evening if what I have been told is correct.

If its true and the choice is between Davies and Jones, them Hemmings better go and order him self a new cheque book. No way would either of these two work with what we've got

I think Billy is a good manager, but am finding it hard to forget just how many jobs him and his agent put him forward for last time he was here, and we were a division higher

Why don't you just say?

"He slagged of my mate Derek so I don't like him"

We should do everything we can to get Billy Davies back. The most enjoyable years watching North End I have had were under Davies. He galvanized the squad and the organisation was impeccable. We didn't quite reach the "promised land" but in 05/06 sadly we were up against a mighty Reading and Sheffield Utd team and we got too many draws.

Davies won't have an issue coming back as Derek Shaw no longer has any involvement. Shaw forced Davies out by not giving him funds - which he gave later to Simpson and Irvine when in worse positions - and allowed him to leave to Derby County.

Money is the issue though but Davies is currently earning zero...!
