So Who Now ?

So Who Now ?

Billy davies is the man hemmings wants!! Talks are ongoing but davies is the no 1 target.

Very interesting, Big E.

Does this signal a change in strategy from Hemmings? I just can't see Billy Davies going anywhere with no money to spend. Surely Hemmings knows what a PITA Davies will be if he keeps his wallet shut.

I think Billy is a good manager, but am finding it hard to forget just how many jobs him and his agent put him forward for last time he was here, and we were a division higher

Wasn't that down to the ambitions of our board at the time? Year earlier sold our top goalscorer (Cresswell), our best winger went on a free (Lewis), that Summer we were about to sell Mears and Davis. How about when Nugent got injured in the run in, the best we could afford was Marcus Stewart from the league below.

I don't blame Davies for leaving us, he went to a club with more ambition and got them promoted. I didn't agree with how he left though. He could have left in a better way.

I love you!

I think B'pool fans will be laughing at us, saying we're nearly wetting our knickers at the thought of BD coming back.

But they're probably not far from the truth in many cases !

It would be one hell of an uplifting day, if he does come back.

Come back Billy... the job's not yet done.

everythings set up for billy davies to return 10th in league half the season to go
come and work your magic billy !!!!!!

My preferred choices.

1. Billy Davies

I would love it to happen, he said he wanted to return and the time is right for all parties. He is out of work and doesn't appear to be getting near any other jobs due to his "complaining" about money, we are looking for a manager and are a big fish in a small pond, he could come here, get us promoted and restore his managerial reputation.

2. Sean O'Driscoll

Delivered good quality, winning football at Doncaster.

3. Mark Robins

Was doing well at Rotherham before going to Doncaster, saved them from relegation and had them up in mid table before he left.

4. Alexander and Unsworth

Obviously Saturday may give us some inclination as to whether they are up to the job.

Me too, don't think he,s done enough to convince me he's the man for the job, also not always sure about going down a previously trodden route, i.e Davies, but you cant deny the truth he WAS a good manager, a tit maybe, but a good manager nonetheless, I think he could do a job with the squad we have, they just need a bit of guidance, and to build confidence back up.

I would give him another shot, don't think he can demand too much, no-ones beaten a path to his door recently have they?

I'd take BD back in a shot.

He'd get this squad we have now working straight away, and he's cut the overpaid idiots out aswell.

Fell out big time with Ridsdale at Cardiff........

Look a bit closer to home

Oh bugger you've found me out, it's me
My qualifications where too much to refuse in the end
I have a subutteo stadium edition
I have a level 2 coaching badge
I am very cheap

My money is on the two "temps" - cheap and cannot fail but that's based on if hemmings wants to stay around, if not then he will go for Jones then sell

Damn you and your riddles Rustler.

Billy Davies likes (and needs) to spend. But he's a motivator. He can organise a team to work their nuts off and make results happen.

Interesting analysis - I always thought Billy's two biggest strengths were organisation and improving what he had, particularly in the fitness department. His record on transfers is pretty hit and miss when you look at his time with Derby and Forest in particular.
