So Who Now ?

So Who Now ?

My explanation was that Ridsdale was associated to The Oystons and has visited/watched Lashers play previously. The person however said they had spoken about the job...
Interesting? It would certainly piss 'em off.

I can only think it was chat along the lines of what do you think about ( insert name )

Rather than

do you fancy leaving your team where the fans think your a hero to try and resurrect their bitter rivals .

.....for less money in a lower division with shitter players.

I got torn to pieces last time I quoted something from the guy I know who's high up at the club, but I feel it's a bit unfair when everyone's getting their hopes up about Davies returning when the info I've received suggests it's highly unlikely. Here's what My mate emailed me this morning. It's him that knows the guy at the club:

"My dads "contact" knows fuckall about who the new gaffer is but reckons we got rid of Brown because he cost too much and were selling Mellor, Hume and Coutts in January, assett stripping basically. Doesn't sound like the actions of a club about to give an ambitious demanding manager like Davies the job, they give it Alexander or unsworth and pay them fuckall for the opportunity".

Obviously, the guy doesn't know everything that goes on at the club at doesn't know whats said between Ridsdale and Hemmings in private so the above statement could be completely wrong, but just thought I'd pass this on.

ps before people start hurling abuse at me, I'm not claiming to be ITK and I'm not someone who loves to bad mouth the club's owners at any given opportunity. I'd love Davies to return but if the above is true it does seem highly improbable.

Following Ridsdales recent comments, maybe this wasn't so far from the truth...

You can be quite funny, periodically. 🙂

Should have completely the opposite effect

Merry Xmas to all - we do want him and he wants back at our place - its just sorting out a package that both parties are happy with. Will it happen well I would say quite possibly. TH usually gets what he wants and I hope he succeeds on this one.

I just hope it doesn't spell the end for our youth policy/set up and the development of Alexander as a coach - future manager.

I agree with your post, but I'd like to see Grezza & Unzy do well with their 3 game adventure into management. I do believe that if Davies comes back then he'll also do well, then he'll be off to pastures new. I wouldn't blame him, as we all have hopes & desires to better ourselves, but in the mean time, love him or hate him, Davies can lift this club at least into the Championship. (If Trevor wants the Premier League enough, then who knows what Davies is capable of). That'll do for me & then Grezza & Unzy can assume the roll of managerial partners, just like Clough & Peters was it? My memory fades as the years go by.🙂

At the forum, PR seemed to stress that any incoming manager would have to be here for a while, after us getting through so many recently.
This confuses me somewhat if BD really is lined up...because he doesn`t strike me as someone who`d be sticking around long term.

I think Billy needs to rebuild his stock and reputation ...and what better place to do it than here ?

I believe that's what he thinks. And with the players available here he thinks promotion is guarenteed. I can only imagine Iain Hume thriving on Davies' workrate on and off the pitch.
