What I’m struggling to understand is we’ve been fed the belief that it’s only frees and loans from now on, but now we’re supposedly trying for Davis Keillor-Dunn on a permanent?

Like are we being fed false hope and we are actually willing to spend?

Going to be an interesting few days…

I just can’t imagine living in a reality where I’d believe this is true.

I can see why Peter does it if there are those gullible enough to believe it.

even if we did have some money, can’t see us getting dkd. 5m is way out of our league. we couldn’t stump up half of that

I mentioned this yesterday, one minute it’s frees and loans through the official media, but then there is info coming out towards members of the fanbase and journos that we are interested in players which would command a fee.

If it’s dud information why is it being made up and is it coming from the club, because it just riles the fans and it just provides mixed messages on the budget we do or don’t have. Which then just further increases speculation that there is a potential takeover.

If I've learnt anything....don't get your hopes up.
 
If the club are confident they will be getting a good fee for Osmajic in the next 12 months, I would be pushing hard for Cannon on a permanant. Try sort a deal with Sheff Utd that means Cannon’s wages are factored into it somehow.

We (apparently) found the funds for a big offer previously so would be more affordable now knowing a future transfer is likely to cover the cost plus some

It was a massive fuck up by Ridsdale and the club granted but it looks like they've managed to paper over it somewhat by getting Aberdeen to pay a lot of his wages last season and then managing to sell him back to Sweden for a fee. Its almost certainly bollocks that we didn't lose much on it though.

Bayliss was a bigger fuck up surely?

The Bayliss signing made sense. Young, huge potential, performing in the league below. Type of signing we’d seen other clubs doing and wanted North End to do.

Problem was he either wasn’t scouted properly or just wasn’t up to it. It made far less sense than the Okkels one IMO

I'd be completely against us going for Cannon. That back injury and how he has been since, added to the fact we don't seem to be able to do an actual medial properly. Run a mile.

Not sure you can say that confidently that the future feels would cover the cost at this point for Cannon. Has a lot to prove now following his injury and lack of general form since.
Also we can't be confident in a good feeling for Milly in 12 months because his contract will be running down.
