Problem was he either wasn’t scouted properly or just wasn’t up to it. It made far less sense than the Okkels one IMO

The finances of it might have made it worse overall though. Heavy fee but then paid off a year of his contract to leave on a free.
 
Would someone like Jayden Danns be a ok signing, don’t know if we have any interest, but was just wondering what other striker options we could sign on loan etc. I’m struggling with names, but Jayden has popped into my mind, but again don’t know if he is any good after getting injured at Sunderland or if we could afford him.

The only way we’d get him back would be very cheap going off what RBS has posted.

In that case no brainer surely. 10 Champ goals last season…some players just click at certain clubs.

Much rather have more Cannon and less Jebbison from what I’ve seen over the last 13 months.

Do know we are pushing for a deal for a striker on either loan with option to buy or a permanent basis.

Good player but word is Liverpool are after a few million loan fee

If it’s dud information why is it being made up and is it coming from the club, because it just riles the fans and it just provides mixed messages on the budget we do or don’t have. Which then just further increases speculation that there is a potential takeover.

Also does anyone know Sedge_Fan personally? I totally understand if they're not wanting to post but I just hope they're all well. Brought excitement to the forum and much clarification. Something that I respected but also sorely miss with my Autism. I hope to see them back soon but more importantly I just hope they're OK 🙂

Shame Barnsley are asking for 5m for him.
That said even if they weren’t, I wouldn’t be too convinced. Never played above League 1 and 27 years old so would have little sell on value
 
I’m really hoping we pull something out of the bag and manage to get the young Icelandic lad from Genk (😬).
I’ve watched him a few times playing for Iceland and there’s definitely top quality lurking there.
They play Brugge on Sunday so it will be interesting to see if he’s involved.

He's an interesting one.

Really good scoring record at all of Oldham, Mansfield and Barnsley.

However 28 in November.

He's a bit like Adam Phillips. Just past that age where you could sign him, get two good seasons out of him and then possibly sell to promotion team/prem struggler.

So not going to make a profit but does he have the sufficient quality then to lift club up towards top 6? Otherwise it is another you drop 2m on who's value will quickly decline.

Guess PH is just going for a solid domestic option after the Gudjohnsen move fallen through but think that shows the lack of a strategic vision by the club as that money could also be spent on one of Dobbin/Jebbison/Devine 12 months down the line.

And if your first and foundational premise is fundamentally misconceived - in what light should myself or any other readers interpret the rest of your observations?
