Jesus Christ, 9 players signed a month left of the window and not even a ball kicked, embarrassing! Thank god some of you don’t play for us, you’ve got no composure, it’s a long season.

the will be teams worse than us like there is every year, I’d count Sheff Wed, Hull, Rovers, stoke to be some of them.

Every season the utter tosh on here about us getting left behind and relegated, it never happens. But I guess if you keep saying it and it eventually comes true you get this weird satisfaction of being right

Seen absolutely nothing from Hull or Rovers to suggest either will finish below us, both seem to be strengthening well and Rovers in particular have had a decent pre season.

We avoided relegation by one point last season.

We are being left behind by clubs we need to take points off, who are all strengthening their squads with significant investment.

The three teams that's have come up look stronger than any three for years.

We have arguably improved a number of positions at the back and the psyicality of the team but have done nothing to address the biggest issue last season.

There is no creativity in this squad, the manager pretty much admitted it after the Bolton game.

Fans have every reason to be concerned and if you think that fans would rather we got relegated to prove a point, then that's idiotic.

Any possibility your head will be out of the sand in time for the QPR game?

*BANKED*

The telling thing is though, the only clubs people can compare us to are crisis clubs.

It’s never we’ll finish above Millwall, Boro or Norwich, who all finished around midtable last year.

It’s always crisis clubs, despite us being in no apparent crisis and in the league for 10 years.

I was looking forward to the new season and football returning in general. Heck and McCalls team new signings new coaching and all that. But after 6 weeks reading this thread I’m fkn depressed.

Oh and Scottish football is irrelevant BTW

Open your eyes and take a long hard look at the squad that we have assembled. Explain how that will achieve the owners “Premiership aspirations”. Signing injured players and free bees that no one else wants along with some who will never be Championship standard is bound to make the most avid of fans be concerned. Handing out long term contracts and contract extensions to players who are well past their sell by dates or simply hanging on for a good salary just keeps the problem with us for an even longer time. Aimless Club with no ambition or skills to keep the fan base entertained. A season of 0-0 draws and 1-0 defeats is what we are currently looking at.

Look around you, this just isn't washing with the fans anymore.

Yes, they cover the losses of THEIR poor business decisions that litter this club but it's obvious to fans now with Oxford and Charlton pissing on our transfer budgets that this isn't enough.

Why are they hanging onto the club and drip feeding it and damaging their own public reps in the meantime? There is a financial reason they won't let go of the club and/or the asking price is mental.
Again...if there's a queue of wealthy folks lining up to purchasecthe club I'm sure they would sell up

So your amazing yardstick used to judge our success is that there will be teams worse than us, inspirational.

They say things like “premiership ambitions” to shut people up.

Unfortunately we do not have the means to compete at that level, new owners wouldn’t necessarily change that as we would still be unable to commercially generate more revenue.

For every Wrexham and Birmingham, there’s 10 owners like sheff wednesdays & 100 like ours.

There’s nothing wrong with existing, if you want a more ambitious club then your probably better to save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

More truly inspirational stuff.

oh dear yet another IOM/Ridsdale sycophant telling fans who would like to see a bit of positivity from the club telling fans to fuck off, your 68 posts in 7 years are so meaningful you nomark.

Again that used to wash when clubs were not getting taken over left right and centre. Now they are. Now there are investment groups coming in and purchasing less appealling clubs with smaller, shitter grounds and less history.

They have an obligation as owners to make us competitive or sell up. And at a price that makes that sale happen.

I don’t care for or against the family, unfortunately the rules that have been created by the leagues and authorities are anticompetitive and stop anyone from even trying to compete, look at Newcastle now, they have money but can’t spend it.

Football is the only business where if you have money you can’t spend it. You spend to much the league then stops you from being able to sign people or gives you points

Your telling me stokes owners wouldn’t spend 100s of millions to get them in the prem, of course they would.

The rules make more bad owners than the owners themselves!
