Matchday Thread PNE v Hull City - 02/03/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

Mads was on the periphery today.

Correct call him coming off.

The other 2 midfielders - Ali and Ben - did nothing wrong. One of the 3 was required to make way for the change.

Yet people still peddle some strange agenda. Have a word.

7 unbeaten.

Onto Saints next where I think we are more than capable of returning home with the 3 Points.

RLSWA.

Haha not sure, but is from Poland and is exceptional. They don't produce a lot though and as seen in the link below, not the cheapest! But well worth it.

How fuckin much?
The tossers don't even make it a litre.

Being over 130 bucks, I only get it maybe twice a year but again is worth it. I can understand some not wanting to pay that much for the amount you get however haha. If I can't afford it at a certain time but want some vodka, will just go with Smirnoff tbh which is obviously not as good, but good enough to get drunk on haha.

Class game today, Browne was just superb in everything he did today, well done sir, a decent game of footy with both teams trying for the 3 points, I thought Riis was well off the pace today and would have subbed him rather than Keane
Enjoyed the game, a fair result, but the point is better for them than us.🤔

Honestly, I have some sympathy with the ref there. I think the obvious shirt pull was on the blind side (goal side) far as the ref could see.
The linesman was bang in line and both should have seen it. It was just one example of what an appalling referee he was, the only thing he seemingly cared about was taking the throw in from the right spot to the millimetre.

Personally I don’t think you can play Osmajic and Riis together unless you have Mads threading the balls in behind them. If you’re going to bring Osmajic and Holmes on you need Keane up there too to help with the build up play

Cant beat Polish Red Cap vodka from Yates’s in the 70s, sure it was a shilling a gallon. Five glasses of that stuff you where ready to march on Russia. 😂😂

A fair result overall in a game between 2 evenly matched sides with contrasting playing styles.

I thought our defence coped well against some tricky and pacy opponents. We certainly showed attacking intent but unfortunately, the quality of the final ball was all too often lacking.

With Southampton coming up, we really needed 3 points today but it wasn't for the lack of trying and a draw against a 6th placed, in-form team isn't to be sniffed at.

McCann for me was MOM, having probably his best game for PNE.

I thought PNE were the better team but Hull had the two best players on the field in no 4 Jacob Greaves and no 2 Lewis Coyle. Browne was superb at right wingback and gives us so much more than Potts imo. He can head, tackle, pass and cross besides coming inside. He looks forward instead of turning back to Storey.
Hull’s much fancied front 3 of Philogene, Carvalho and Zaroury never had a look in, or their replacements Billy Sharp and Tufan, so well did our defence play. Woodman in goal was back to his best and frequently left his line as he anticipated play. Ali McCann had his best game in a North End shirt winning tackles all over the pitch and setting up attacks. Three chances fell to Ben Whiteman who wasn’t at his best but has been outstanding in the last month so it would be unfair to criticise. Riis could make nothing of the impressive Greaves , but partner Keane did link up play well and looks a class act. Mads had a great first half and really put a shift in and I thought he looked tired before being subbed. Millar is just unpredictable and electric in all he does and nearly replicated his stunning winning goal against Leeds. Overall a great point and reinforces the optimism there is around the club. We’re still fighting for a playoff spot, we’re not going away.
