You realise the owners off these smaller clubs keep backing the FFP and PSR. Most are fully aware they can’t sustain a long period challenging the so called big boys as when they get any decent players they get cherry picked. These clubs are happy having FFP and PSR as it stops a lot of promoted teams coming up and blowing hundreds of millions and staying up putting there place in jeopardy. They first aim every season is to stay up and anything else is a bonus and keeps the tv money rolling inWith the rules that have been put in place, the premier league is effectively a closed shop, realistically only four teams can win it (Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United and Chelsea). Newcastle have not been able to break into that group despite being owner by PIF who have unlimited funds, Man City had the audacity to break into the group by cheating and will have the book thrown at them as a result. It could becoming increasingly apparent to owners of the other premier league clubs that there is no possibility of taking their club to the next leave. The premier league is at a cross roads, are the so called ‘big clubs’ going to allow genuine competition, if they aren’t then it’s likely other owners may come to the conclusion that it isn’t worth investing in the premier league and may look to sell up and invest elsewhere.

Yes agree, my response was a specific response to the issues in the premier league, the issue with parachute payments is a whole different discussion that also needs to be resolved; unless of course the so called ‘big’ clubs leave to form a super league, in which case there would be a substantial reduction in the money the premier league clubs receive. This would drastically reduce the difference between what the premier league and championship clubs receive m, meaning that there could be a significant reduction in, or possibly even the total abolition of parachute payments. You realise the owners off these smaller clubs keep backing the FFP and PSR. Depends on your level of pedantry. What's the lesser version of pelters if it's 3421 instead of 352?
Or 5221 instead of 532 to keep it accurate to the bit 😅
And also more likely how much it matters to you to get one over on @Bobbage
The rich get richer and the poor get shit on the way of the well named PremiershiTThe big clubs continue to get bigger; the rest of the pyramid in England & beyond just suffer the consequences of the owners, players & their agents greed.
Bosman and freedom of player movement; the vast sums that Sky etc are prepared to pay along with us the fans continuing to pay the exorbitant monthly subscriptions don’t help either. The IFR is not going to do anything to change the way money trickles down the leagues…..
FFP, PSR, are glass ceilings installed by the elite who don't want a usurper eating from their trough. Can you name any industry that stops its owners from investing money to grow their business? As long as the money put in is not a suicidal loan then why should a club be limited by outside factors. I really don't know where the PL is going to go with City. If they continue down the guilty path I can see some sponsors suing them for unfounded claims. If the appeals eventually get to the High Court, PL will lose as the whole investigation is based on illegally gained information which is not allowable in law. Finally, PL has set an example with Chelsea who broke the same rules and got away with an extremely lenient punishment
100%, football isnt what we once knew it, its now a corrupt cash cow that protects Europes elite. I expect City to get away with what theyve supposedly done, the Prem will not relelgate one of its main products.FFP, PSR, are glass ceilings installed by the elite who don't want a usurper eating from their trough. Bosman, haven't heard that for along time. The big clubs continue to get bigger; the rest of the pyramid in England & beyond just suffer the consequences of the owners, players & their agents greed.

I assume you don't mean to League Two?
Out of what ?RIDSDALE OUT!
Seems to me since Penrose took over as chairman our performances on the pitch have nosedived and our current playing staff is totally unbalanced and with no strikers!!!!
So just who is running our club?? Or not running it is more accurate.
To me there is a massive black cloud over this club sale.
Many fans have been so desperate for a new owner they have blindly ignored the credentials and credibility of the potential purchaser.
The existing owners may have done the same, whilst also taking their eyes off running the club they own properly.
Penrose has the chairman’s job, and Ridsdale has been pushed down or out of the pecking order .
My concerns are as thus, if you buy a house or a car you make sure you have the finance etc to do it before committing, it’s no different buying a football club.
But now we are left in some sort of vacuum where we appear to have no one standing up to be responsible….
And this ‘sale’ seems to have gone sour because any organised purchaser would have made sure that most boxes were ticked before launching into the purchase, signals to me the quality of the purchaser is far lower than required.
The whole SHAMBLES has now created the mismanaged mess we are well and truly in.
So to my mind the existing owner is fully responsible for the precarious mess we are now in.
And the person probably least at fault is Ridsdale who appears to have been put on gardening leave while Penrose allows the club to disintegrate whilst trying to sell it to a totally disorganised purchaser.
If you have any concrete information to make any of the above incorrect id love to hear it please because the last 10 months have just been nothing but disastrous.

Penrose is such a shit goalscorer.
Can't believe we've been relying on him so much since last October. Disgraceful.
Penrose was tasked with finding a buyer and selling the club on behalf of the IOM while Peter’s remit has stayed the same and is the man who runs the day to operations with the budget he has been givenOut of what ?

One thing for sure the people at the club are using this NDA to the hilt nothing stopped Penrose making the ststement eve of season so why can't he at least keep suppirters in the loop with something instead of the now total silence.example his it still ongoing..dead in the water .it still talking ...Surely if was dead then it would of been announcedOut of what ?

Conflicting information.Penrose was tasked with finding a buyer and selling the club on behalf of the IOM while Peter’s remit has stayed the same and is the man who runs the day to operations with the budget he has been given
Penrose is chairman and therefore responsible for all aspects including the performance of Ridsdale who was chairman but was demoted.
Why make Penrose chairman just to sell the club?
Hereby hangs the start of the clubs fall from grace .
There seems to be confusion and a lack of clarity regarding Ridsdale’s role at this moment in time. To say it’s a mess is to state the obvious.Conflicting information.

On his performance to date as chairman which includes no sale being completed, no other purchasers in the frame and the club bottom of the league with the worse squad for years I’d say he needs moving on before it gets worse.Penrose was tasked with finding a buyer and selling the club on behalf of the IOM while Peter’s remit has stayed the same and is the man who runs the day to operations with the budget he has been given
Or am I missing something?
