Hecky will walk!
I think most of those Osmajic and it would be easy to solely blame him. However, the timing of the passes from players who need three touches before playing the pass was awful.
I'm assuming that the new owners have a new manager in mind long term but need to give PH a chance.
On today's showing, that will be a few days after the takeover.

Pre season results means nothing - they don’t. And I will stand by that.
Two years of heckingbottom does mean something and that is why we lost today. Because he is a terrible manager and his win percentage proves that.

My opinion of Hecky - he’s a stubborn Yorkshireman.
I’ve said on other threads I don’t think he’s got the ability to develop players, in fact some seem to regress under his “coaching”.
I sense he’s not comfortable with flair players, hence Mads and Thor came and went, I don’t think he’s a fan of Offiah and Small, he’s happier playing steady Eddies - Lindsay/Storey/Hughes/Potts is a good example.
As long as he’s here we’ll aim for mid table and we’ll all be bored stiff by the sideways backwards football.
Hopefully new owners will have different ambitions!

So what did we get out of preseason and the benefits of a trip to Spain, populated by less than a full squad of first teamers and youth team players.
Thats because it was a long ball fest. We are making decent players like Ossie look shit playing like that. Long ball will not work at this level anymore
Times up for Heckingbottom, nothing changes, far too cautious and awful line ups formations.

Hecky has given the captainship to a player too young.
He has a terrible win ratio.

He’s 26. He’s older than both Browne and Clarke were when they were made captain. It’s not his age that made giving him the captaincy the mistake, it’s the fact that he’s as quiet as a mouse on the pitch, and totally incapable of taking a game by the scruff of the neck. Which, for all their flaws, both Browne and Whiteman were occasionally capable of doing
That's were we need an older experienced player in defence, i prefer a captain to lead and marshal from the back, keeps the goalkeeper and midfield on there toes.....lots of PL players coming to the end of there days who could do the job...Burnley have Walker....that kind of player at this level.

We have the number 5 vacant so maybe someone of that ilk will be incoming….lets hope so.
However I don’t think McCann will be relieved of his duties whoever comes in.
