Matchday Thread PNE v The Plastics - 17/02/24 - KO:3PM - Championship

I thoroughly enjoyed todays game , apart from the two slack goals that we gave away…

What really pleased me was that in the second half right up until the 95th minute we were still going for the win….

Yes I would have preferred 3 points , but in the second half there was only one team going for the win, Rovers were shite !!!

I felt entertained and I thought it was a good performance overall by our boys ( first 20 minutes aside )
Your pre match team talk on how to score goals at Deepdale obviously had an affect

Back from the match. A very enjoyable derby, at 0 -2 down I would heve been with a point. At final whistle it felt like 2 points dropped. A slow start by North End and another poor first 30 minutes giving the ball away cheaply. Full credit to the lads for not letting their heads go down and fighting back to go in level. After that there only seemed like one team was looking for a win. I felt the Plastics were delighted with a point at full time in their cup final. Ref was poor. Have a good weekend.

Well I proper enjoyed that game, we have taken 4 points off the plastics this season and that will do me.

The first half hour was terrible, but after that I thought we completely dominated the game. That strike from Brady was a goal of the season contender I’m really happy for him.

Was lovely to see, Sid Snot, Raefil, Llanroc, Ando and Billymac today too. I’m so lucky to know such lovely people.

I am very happy it feels like a win and the team played incredibly well and did us proud (bar first 30 minutes).
Got to share pie and a custard with @Joanpne @Sid Snot and @llanroc . This forum really does have some of the nicest folk posting on it. Felt really privileged to meet you all in person, then a decent game to follow too.

Agreed Flaxby……

The plastics had no intention of attacking in the second half, they were more than happy with a draw…

I was pleased to see that we kept pushing for the win, wave after wave of North End pressure…

You never invited me to your pie and custard party…….

Mind you , I did get to give the lovely Joan a peck on her cheek…..

All in pretty decent.

Doubt Riis’s goal survives the dubious goals panel, but thought he played well, made some good runs.

Still just don’t get what Storey is actually meant to be good at? At least Lindsay had a good game after his error

Second half a little disappointing, but effort was there, draw probably a fair result

If it was a boxing contest I would have given it to us 114-113

I didn’t see you on the bus, although I was distracted somewhat getting on the bus by some head the balls abusing the driver.
Yeah, who were they ??

Someone on the bus suggested that they might have been Rovers fans….

I did look out for people getting on at the Beam & Brycg , have you got a beard and specs ??

Decent game and a good fightback from the lads. Lots of promising positions in the second half but we didn’t really test their keeper so can’t really argue with only taking a point. It keeps the unbeaten run going and would have happily taken 7pts from the three games at the start of the week.

Agreed Cadley…. 10 points from the last 12 is very pleasing…
