Go on... tell me how we clear out contracted players ???

You can't make them redundant as employment law wont allow you to sign replacements if you do! its the job not the person who is redundant!

Hopefully if Ched signs it will be instead of '~Pete#'' I also hope some of those are asked to TRY and find a new club if they want first team footy...

Last night showed there are worse CB's in the playoffs than we have........so I hope we focus on better striker options...and pace out wide.

Either a 10-years-in-the-making promotion challenging squad, that just needs a few finishing touches in the transfer window before it's ready to mount its next assault on those play-off places.

Or, what you end up with when you under-invest in a Championship squad for 10 years, outsourcing all the key roles to loan players who leave, and one or two players you can't afford any more, who leave.

Woodman, Riis, Bauer, Best, Stewart all gone. Evans hasn't been offered a playing role. We know there was a deal lined up for Whatmough in Jan so he may well be off too.

Plus another 4 loans returned.

For the sake of it? We've just recently handed a new lifeline with the new contracts to the 3 defenders and now about to save Brady and Evans from leaving Deepdale!

I have no confidence in what we will bring in and as for Hecky, he's just another Yes man who will go along with PR and Hemmings! So much for the bomb quote!

He was thrown in at the deep end by Lowe, and people got excited because he's got a decent eye for a pass etc. Unfortunately he quickly got exposed by people realising he has no pace, and neither substitute, central league nor Irish football have found him a level where he can make up for that.

Maybe he can join Harrop in the baller league where being an athlete doesn't come into it.

I thought it was a case that he refused to talk to the club about renewing his contract with us just like Riis or have I got that wrong?

Who are these worst centre backs in the championship. Are you referring to Bristol city?

Considering Ched and Murphy were both coaches at the start of the season, you would think not.

Although with our perpetual austerity, it wouldn't shock me if that was the case.

Agree but getting capped by England you would’ve thought he was half decent unless at his age thete is a real dirth of talent.

Yeah we extended the defenders 5 months ago so I'm not sure why it's relevent to you being deeply upset by retained list - a list which most people are completely unsurprised by.

Fair enough if you don't want Evans here but I'm not sure any of us can define whether he's a good coach or not. He won't be on the playing squad, which is what the retained list is about.

I can tell you've got no confidence but the reality is none of us know what the squad will look like come the start of the season. We've got 14 senior players left, including the ones we probably want rid of (Okkels, Whatmough). That's a substantial clear out.

Therefore yes, you are whingeing for the sake of it.
 
What I dont understand is why is Brady and Evans negotiating now?

Was Hecky not sure about retaining them before or who is actually making these decisions!
