No insta from Zedan for ages , not even when we announced new ManagerI bet there's no Instagram of Zedan watching the game this afternoon....
When was his last one?
I disagree Keith. It may take a miracle but Norwich City Last season after 17 games were in 23rd place and about 7 points from safety. The brought in Phillipe Clement and got the players playing and they just missed out on a playoff place at end of the season. Whilst it seams very unlikely, I am hoping for that miracle.Takeover or not, it's too late for this season to be saved. We are down. Rebuild will have to start in L1.
It's a lot more than playing squad that needs to be sorted. I don't care what League we are in, just for the current era to end.
So who are PNE bringing in then ? Cos Alexander isn’t changing anything 🥹I disagree Keith. We are very definitely not a serious club.Quintessential PNE.
After years in this division we decide to go for relegation when there are 2 extra play off places up for grabs and when there is a potential takeover in the offing.
We sack the manager, correctly, and will no doubt be paying him a handsome amount. We then recruit an old playing hero and give him a 3 year deal, so that if the worst happens it would cost even more money to replace him.
3 games in and results have got worse, hard to imagine that that was possible.
We are not a PROFESSIONAL football club.
You don't scab wins at this level. For GA to have any chance of keeping us up we need a few things to happen.
We need to somehow scab a few wins between now and January and the odd draw. I think this relies heavily on Jonny Kenny being fit or us somehow finding a free agent striker that can come in and do a job.
We'll then need to strengthen in January. A centre half is a must as is two new strikers. Not 'forwards' like Lang, Burgzorg etc. Strikers. Preferably one a big fucker who's dominant in the air.
Edit: Sorry wrong thread.

The difference though, was that Norwich had the players.I disagree Keith. It may take a miracle but Norwich City Last season after 17 games were in 23rd place and about 7 points from safety. Unfortunately we changed tack at the wrong time, in recent years we have been heavily reliant on good quality loans from premier league clubs, this was deemed to be wasteful as the money spent each summer was going on loan fees and not developing the squad. So the club decided to sign players we could afford who had potential that they thought they could improve and sell on for a profit. Unfortunately the players we could afford to bring in were nowhere near the same level as the loan players we had been bringing in on loan in recent years and we are now seeing the consequences of that drop in quality. In my opinion we should have stuck with the tried and tested system (as wasteful as that may seem), until the takeover had gone through, when the management and recruitment side of the club would have been totally revamped, and there would potentially have been more money available to sign better quality players to develop. There are 4 or 5 really shit teams in the championship this season, so staying up should have been easier than normal. The unfortunate thing is, we’re a lot worse than the other shit teams.
We can’t see where the next clean sheet is coming from, let alone the next win. We haven’t been this dire for a long time, and to think we spent far more in summer than we normally do. Someone needs to be held to account, and I think it’s time we had some information passed down from the hierarchy as to why we are in this plight.
In over 50 years watching PNE I have never seen us so appallingly bad at the level we are playing in apart from maybe 1985-86 and even then we had Gary Brazil and John Thomas in the team who were good to watch.
I hate almost every single player in this squad as they are either past their best, weak willed, talentless or a combination of all three.
I do not expect a takeover any more and I thing we will struggle to avoid relegation to League 2 next season.
It would be interesting to know which ones, although there's probably not even 3 I'd give one proverbial about if they left tomorrow. Not long been home, and I don’t know whether I’m more angry or gutted.
I saw the team coach arrive and only 3 of the players acknowledged the fans they just weren’t interested even at that point. The passing wasn’t even good enough for non league, I was so bored the little boy sat with his dad next to me (aged around 3) was more entertaining with his iPad. I am trying so hard to keep positive but bloody hell it’s problematic. I feel so sorry for Graham and Chris, a pair of exceptionally professional ex players trying to progress the careers of players that simply don’t give a stuff.
I get the feeling they've been asked to work harder show a bit more commitment and effort, I'll also throw in be a bit more professional as well.It makes you wonder what has been going on behind the scenes. I just can’t accept that these players are as fundamentally useless as recent performances suggest.
We know each and every one is capable of playing with far better commitment, quality and pride than they are showing at the moment.
The question is why? This is where our manager earns his salary. Hopefully he is given the time and autonomy to try and solve the problem. If certain players need to be canned then he needs to be allowed to do so.
