What do you propose then Budgierustler if not staying away? Wouldn't missing one match be worth it if it increased the likelihood of Westley being shown the door? I don't think Ridsdale or Hemmings will listen until either any protests are aimed at them or a boycott really bites. Whatever the reason for continuing to attend, it effectively endorses the current regime if ultimately you will renew your season ticket and attend no matter what pitiful excuse for football and entertainment is served up. The fans have a great opportunity here to show that enough is enough.
As a point of comparison, Port Vale are now top of League 2 - twelve months after a boycott of Vale Park forced their old board out. Do you think that change and subsequent success would have happened if all their fans had continued to pay their money to the old board, despite the club going from the top of League 1 to the bottom half of League 2 under their stewardship? Staying away is the ultimate sacrifice but if it brings about the change we all want, isn't a price worth paying (for one match at least)?
